Timeus Kiwisport Reflection

Hi, My name is Timeus and today I am going to be talking about my reflection about the kiwisport. The reason why I am going to be talking about my reflection is because I have been learning something that is really interesting online and so I wanted to tell you guys what I learnt throughout my kiwisport learning.

So today what I have been doing in my session is that I did some warm ups (We did some games) and what we were doing is that we were playing a real game of football and so our teachers setted up the area of the zone that we have been to be in and we have to get to the other side of the goal and make sure that we get a touchdown on the other side of the goal.

And so when they were finish doing the area zone then we were able to start our game of football.

that is all for today and I hope you enjoyed this blog post

Timeus Designed for Good Reflection

WALT:Analyse Information from the Text.

Hi, my name is Timeus and today I am going to be talking about my reflection about my work that I am going to be talking about which it is called 'Designed for Good. The reason why I am going to be talking about this is because I have been learning something from it and it was really interesting to know.

So what I read about was a book called 'Designed for Good' and the book was about three Developers of a pest trap were make a trap to kill any possums that are within the area using the lethal method that they choose for there trap. If they made a non-lethal trap then the trap would actually use a different to either put them to sleep.

In new zealand, there are over 900 species that are snails living in litter trees and the only animals that are still living in new zealand are Kiwis, Otters and Possums. Possums are a problem to the new zealand people because Possums eat little baby eggs for protein and also eat the leaves out of the trees so that they can last longer without having to find some other food.

What do we mean by the native Bush?
So the native bush is a place where back in 19.000bc, there were beautiful landmarks and people were settle in the bushes for better shelter and able to find a place where they can always find food somewhere in the native bushes.

This question I wanted to ask myself is 'Is it important to look after the bush?' and I think that it is really important to look after the native bush because I think that the native bush has a lot of history of the native bush. So I think that it is really important to look after the native bush.

Which animals species were introduced to New Zealand?
Firstly, the possums were the most dangerous living animals in new zealand and the reason for that is because the possums again like to eat the eggs that are laid by there mother at a nearby nest which it might happen to other nest if they were to be come extinct.

Why they were to be brought here in New Zealand?
Well, The reason why the animals were brought to New Zealand is because they wanted the animals to start somewhere where things would be more safer than some other countries around the globe.

When did the damage begin?
So the damage began when the animals such as the otters and possums were coming into our land and started to kill the trees by eating the leaves of the trees and also they also eat the other species that were in the bushes, trees and other more places that they can find as well, and the otters do the same but when they are finish with there scavenging then they are really fast to escape away from there scene at any means necessary.

Why are stoats especially dangerous?
The stoats are really fast that when they are catching a predator, they can catch on in just a second by the time the insect or something is trying to get away from the stoat.

Do we value some animals more than others?
I don't think that we need to value more animals to new zealand because I think that it will bring more danger to the new zealand animals and it makes it harder for the people to catch on of the predators or discover new animals.

That is all for today and one thing I would like to say for this is that I think that it is really important to have pest traps placed around the environment because it is to help the people that is being protected by others and also the animals.

Timeus Maths Reflection

WALT:Write Decimals and fractions as Percentages and Percentages Decimals.
Hi, My name is Timeus and today I am going to be talking about a reflection about our maths time, the reason why I am going to be talking about it is because I learnt something that is really interesting and I wanted to be able to show it to you guys how I learnt well and better understanding in maths.

What we were learning in maths was about how to write fractions as percentages and percentages decimals and I am learning to develop on that and better understand what the 'WALT' of the learning title means and how does it works.

What I know from this is that I know that for example 23/100, and I wanted to convert or change that into a percentage, so what I did is that I would use the answer which is the 23 and change that answer into a percentage which it was 23% and then after that I can convert again but this time change into a percentage decimal which the answer would look like 0.23%. The reason why the Percentage is 0.23% is because the 100 has no number other then 1 and so if I put the zero or no zero on the decimal then I would be able to get a answer of 0.23%.

Timeus ASTRIA Games Reflection

IALT: Reflect on How I develop such skills on the game ASTRIA.

Hi, My name is Timeus and today I am going to be talking about my reflection about the game that I played which it was called 'ASTRIA' game, the reason why I am going to be reflecting on this is because I was able to play the game with my friend Tevita.

The game was all about reading through the article or topic and it was about a asteroid that is coming to earth to destroy all that is left is the city of Astria and what I know about the city is that the name came from the game ASTRIA and now I know that the city is part of the game, Anyways the asteroid was coming to earth and you (as yourself) have to find a way to destroy the asteroid within the days that is given to you. For our own, We had 99 days before impact to come up with a way to destroy or push away the asteroid as fast as possible before it hits the city of Astria.

So what me and my friend tevita did is that we visited the 3 rooms that was available for us to access (While the 4 door, which is the Council is not available) and our Objective is to collect the six documents of information to find out how would each method would destroy the asteroid.

After collecting the last documents, we then needed to tell the Council about how we can or what method we would use for the asteroid. It is explained in evidence and we have to give them the documents and choosing which method to choose from.

What I learnt about the game that I played with my friend is that I was able to develop my reading skills such as analysing and also finding the key main ideas from the text that I have been reading throughout the whole entire game and so I was also able to learn how to find facts that are contained very useful type of information that will help that person to choose a method that is being told and how it works with the documents provided.

What Found challenging about this game 'ASTRIA' is that I thought that the game was all about using the arrows to try and take down the asteroid in a two player game but now I knew that the game was able reading through the text carefully and fully understanding what the text is saying.

Timeus Hail Stones freestyle Writing

WALT: Write about what makes the sounds of them Hailing Stones.

I hear the Hail stones, stones are more like icy stones. In November 20th 2018, I was outside the school playing with one of my friends when suddenly the starts pouring down on me like a shower that is pouring down above my head. The rain was so heavy that I couldn't even tell if it was either pouring down so loud that it is starting to break things or that it is hailing down on me.

I felt vibrated when a massive thunder came struck through the sky and it hears to me that it is the sound of massive BOOM that was about to come crashing/pouring down on me, and then suddenly another rain was pouring down on the school again and so I stand up and took a good look at the rain. I could see that something like ice lumps were pouring down the school like an ice that is melting which it was turning into water and raining down like a fountain.

I thought to myself that it was going to break something or 'CLANG' on something that is dangerous. The rain also sounded like a swarm of bees that are getting very angry and aggressive that it is making the sound effect to the rain.
